Read along as we go through all stages of production. This journal doesn't pull any punches- from the initial misty eyed fresh screenplay idealism that's brutally killed during the practical necessities of preproduction, the renewed hope and excitement of actually shooting the film, the overwhelmed feeling of day one in the edit suite and the journey to a satisfying final cut.

But that's just the beginning! There's the film festivals, where every once in a while a screener will actually watch your film instead of fast forwarding it or just looking at the artwork and tossing it in the trash. There's the producer meetings, where we'll sit in an office while some guy tells us he really thinks our movie's great but he wants to turn it into an animated children's show for the Japanese market. And there's the occasional sweet triumph, where somehow despite the odds somebody gets what we're doing and decides to give us a shot. We live for those moments!
